The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mike gets a takedown into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Speranskiq controlling the position for now.

Mike stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Speranskiq swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Our spies down at at Iron Warrior Elite Gym inform us that Speranskiq has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

The ref stands the fighters back up. Red Mike wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Mike dives in and scores a takedown into Speranskiq's guard.
Mike stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Speranskiq swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mike trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Mike wants to control from the top but Speranskiq keeps moving.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Speranskiq holds on and takes a little breather.

Lesha Speranskiq has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Speranskiq shoots in but Mike avoids the takedown attempt easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Red Mike will probably get the nod.

Speranskiq is looking to take a break and control but Mike is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Speranskiq keeps control of the position easily here as Mike tries to buck him off.

Speranskiq has the hooks in. Mike is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Mike rolls, trying to escape but Speranskiq keeps control of the position.

Speranskiq has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Mike is defending well but eventually Speranskiq manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Mike has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
