The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mlodzinski swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Smith tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Mlodzinski manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Mlodzinski shoots in looking for a takedown but Smith manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mlodzinski's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Mlodzinski tries to score a power double leg takedown but Smith sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mlodzinski somewhat.

Mlodzinski is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Smith defends well.

Smith gets to his feet - Mlodzinski follows without any prompting.

and Smith counters with a head kick. That will keep Mlodzinski thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Oh Mlodzinski is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Smith lands a nice knee to the body.
Smith lands a big knee! That's hurt Mlodzinski! Oh, he's all over the place! Smith lands another knee that sends Mlodzinski to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!
