Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Eugenio Day (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Jake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Eugenio Day!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jake Jake!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Richard Clark and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jake scores with a sloppy right hand. Day should have avoided that one.
Jake slaps away a takedown attempt from Day, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Jake defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Day.

Jake gets in close and instigates a clinch.
A body shot lands from Jake.

Jake jumps guard and drags Day to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Jake is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Jake is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Jake has Day pulled in close to control his posture.
Day wants to stand but Jake is controlling his posture from full guard.
Jake throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Jake has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Day is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Jake manages to pull guard.
Jake throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Jake kicks Day off and gets to his feet.
Jake lands with a straight right. Day didn't see that one coming.
Jake swinging wildly here.

Jake closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Day to the mat! Day manages to get full guard.
Jake is looking to work some ground and pound but Day has wrist control.

Day looking for a guillotine here but Jake defends easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jake throwing strikes but missing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Day has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jake can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Jake trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Jake wants to control from the top but Day keeps moving.
Jake engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Jake got a little sloppy there for a moment and Day has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jake has managed to get both his arms back between Day's legs - danger averted.

Jake is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Jake decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Jake moves into the clinch.

Jake works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Day is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jake is aware though and is defending well.

Jake stands and steps away. Day gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Day is breathing heavily.

Jake closes the distance and clinches.
Day letting Jake take a breather here.

Jake has Day pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Jake pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Day tumbling to the mat - Jake dives into Day's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Day looking for a guillotine here but Jake defends easily.

Day escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jake gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Jake throwing strikes from guard but Day blocks nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Day is working an open guard so Jake takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Jake dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jake Jake dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Jake tests Day's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Jake darts in and clinches Day up against the cage.
Stalling in the clinch from Jake.
Day tries to pull guard but Jake won't allow it.

Jake pulls Day into guard.
Jake wants to sweep but no luck.

Jake scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Day walks into a jab.

Jake closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Day's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jake throwing strikes but missing.

Day is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Day has his feet on Jake's thighs here. He's pushed Jake off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Jake screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Eugenio Day!
