Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Elvis Thompson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Keiji Inoue!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Santiago Holmes and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Inoue wants to clinch.
Thompson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Inoue.
A big right from Thompson misses.
Thompson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Inoue shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Thompson pushes Inoue off looking to stand but Inoue dives back in and keeps control.
Inoue throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Inoue is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Thompson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Inoue.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Inoue trying to control the action but Thompson is working from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Inoue is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Thompson is just riding it out for now. Inoue eventually gives up the hold.

Inoue looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Inoue is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Thompson sees it coming and defends easily.
Thompson tries to kick Inoue off but Inoue keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Inoue scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Thompson looks like he's trying to stand up.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Inoue is nestled in close to Thompson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Inoue is looking for a kimura here.
Inoue prevents Thompson from standing back up.

Inoue maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Thompson could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Inoue has cracked it and Thompson is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Inoue!
