Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Conchito El Guapo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akira Akiyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). El Guapo's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Bebot. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
El Guapo tries to bum rush Akiyama with a series of wild strikes but Akiyama uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Akiyama swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A nice inside leg kick there by Akiyama. That's going to slow El Guapo down.
Akiyama scores with a hook to the body. El Guapo takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Akiyama will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Conchito El Guapo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Akira Akiyama.

Akiyama pulls guard successfully.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
El Guapo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Akiyama's guard.
Akiyama really doesn't want to stay on the ground with El Guapo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

El Guapo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Akiyama doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time El Guapo.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

It looks like Akira Akiyama has been cut.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

You get the feeling that Akiyama really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Akiyama cracks El Guapo with a good jab.

Akiyama drops El Guapo with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but El Guapo looks back up at him and smiles so Akiyama waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Conchito El Guapo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Akiyama pounces like a tiger and cracks El Guapo with a vicious hook! El Guapo is down but not out! Akiyama follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
