Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Darby Crash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Fertus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crash comes to the cage accompanied by Lexicon Devil. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Mike Fertus enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fertus throws a right hand that Crash ducks under and follows up with a left that Crash also avoids with ease.
Crash misses with a body shot
and Fertus counters with a series of strikes. Crash will be more careful next time no doubt.
We've been hearing reports that Crash has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Crash blocks a jab.
Crash avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Crash dodges the punch combination from Fertus.
Crash throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Crash tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fertus was well out of range. Poor timing from Crash.

Fertus throws a shot from downtown. Crash moves away and avoids it.
No joy there for Fertus, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Fertus steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Crash.
Fertus looks to score with a jab to the body but Crash is just out of range.

Darby Crash seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Crash missing with a left hand there. Fertus was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Crash throws a combination that misses

and Fertus counters with a nice double leg into side control. Crash won't be happy with that.
This has been an exciting period of action!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Crash is looking for a sweep.
Fertus lands some shots froms side control.

Fertus thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Fertus has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Crash shoots in looking for a takedown. Fertus tries to sprawl out of it but Crash keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fertus manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Fertus tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Crash paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Crash throws a good cross that connects.
A shot to the body from Fertus misses
and Crash counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Fertus stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fertus wants it to stay on the feet.
A solid leg kick lands there for Fertus.

Fertus ducks under a wild hook from Crash.
Crash bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Fertus's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fertus swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Crash misses the body punch
and Fertus counters with a stiff right hand.
A looping hook to the body misses from Crash. Fertus does a little dance to reset his feet.
Fertus looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Crash slips under a jab.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Crash misses with a straight left.
Fertus gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Fertus tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Crash is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Fertus buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Fertus!! Fertus is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Crash throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
