Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Reed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Veer Mac!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mac closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Reed to the mat! Reed manages to get full guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Mac wants to stand but Reed is controlling his posture from full guard.
Mac content to stall in guard here.
Mac trying to control but Reed is working from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Veer Mac was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Mac avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Mac gets a takedown into half guard.
Reed moves into full guard.

Mac with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Reed tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Mac not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Mac really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reed. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mac tries to free his leg and advance position but Reed is retaining full guard.
Mac wanted to stand there but Reed had control of the position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Reed pulls Mac in to control the position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Veer Mac hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Reed gets caught napping as Mac dives in and scores a takedown. Reed manages to retain guard.
Reed has his hands on Mac's head, controlling the position.
Mac wants to control from the top but Reed keeps moving.
Reed manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Reed cracks Mac with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Mac is working to get back to half guard.
Reed scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Mac?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Reed goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Mac turns into him and now he's in Reed's guard.

Mac drops back looking for a leg! Reed is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Reed manages to kick Mac off! Mac jumps back into Reed's guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Reed is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Veer Mac dominated that round.

Mac lands with a kick to the temple. Reed shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Reed defending well as Mac loads up on a big left hand.

Mac throws a leg kick which misses Reed's front leg but catches the back leg as Reed tries to avoid it.

Mac scores with a takedown into Reed's guard.
Reed is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Reed tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mac drops back looking for a leg! Reed is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Reed manages to kick Mac off! Mac jumps back into Reed's guard.
Veer Mac has got the better of the ground game so far.

Mac is fighting to break Reed's control of his arms but Reed is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Mac postures up.
Reed wants to improve his position but instead Mac has moved into half guard.
Reed tries to get to full guard but Mac has control of the leg.
Reed is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Mac's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Mac's back!

Reed is looking for the choke from the back position but Mac is controlling his hands well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Reed is hanging on to Mac's back as he tries to escape.
Mac trying to control the position but Reed manages to sink in the hooks.
Reed is trying to stick to Mac's back but Mac is turning into Reed. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Reed's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Mac.

Mac stands and throws Reed's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Reed manages to work his way to half guard, despite Mac's best efforts.

Reed is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Mac tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Reed.
Mac prevents Reed from improving his position.
Mac tries to stand and escape but Reed is controlling the position.
Reed flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Reed keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Mac performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
The fighters are battling for position here. Reed manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Mac stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Reed swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mac wants to control from the top but Reed keeps moving.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Reed manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Reed tries for a takedown. No joy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Veer Mac showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Mac scores with a three punch combo!

Reed gets caught napping as Mac dives in and scores a takedown. Reed manages to retain guard.

Mac drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Reed manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Mac has Reed in his guard.

Reed drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Reed jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Reed won't allow Mac to sweep him here.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Reed's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Reed keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Mac's head.
Mac looking to hit a scissor sweep but Reed is one step ahead there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reed throwing strikes from guard but Mac blocks nicely.

Reed is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mac is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mac has escaped and now he's on top!

Mac decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Reed moves into the clinch.

Mac tightens his grip and picks Reed up, before dumping him to the ground. Reed manages to land in guard.
Reed manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mac manages to get himself to full guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Reed lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Reed is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Mac has an active guard here but Reed has managed to pass into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Reed connects with a nice short shot to Mac's temple.

Reed is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mac is just riding it out for now. Reed eventually gives up the hold.
Reed not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Reed is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Mac has managed to free his arm - good work.
Reed thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Mac is defending against the submission attempts here by Reed.
Reed blocks the strikes from Mac.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Reed wants to stand up but Mac has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Ryan Reed has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Veer Mac is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Reed is working for a kimura but Mac is defending it quite comfortably.

I think Mac has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
