The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Ren Mimura and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velasquez shoots in but no luck this time.
Velasquez fails with a takedown attempt.

Velasquez has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Velasquez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kasprzyk swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Velasquez thows a huge punch but Kasprzyk dodges it nicely.
Velasquez perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Velasquez thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kasprzyk's head.
Kasprzyk looks like he's trying to stand up.
Kasprzyk felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Velasquez thows a huge punch but Kasprzyk dodges it nicely.
Velasquez works his foot free and advances to mount.

Kasprzyk wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Velasquez.
Velasquez breaks from Kasprzyk's wrist control and lands an elbow.
It looks like Sebastian Kasprzyk has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
BOOM! Velasquez connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Velasquez is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Kasprzyk goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Velasquez!
