Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Joe Foe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larry Glover (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Larry Glover will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Foe!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Larry Glover!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Hugh Johnson and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Glover misses.
Glover stuffs the takedown attempt from Foe. Foe gets slowly back to his feet.
Nice combo by Glover! Oh, that's hurt him - Foe falls to the canvas and Glover follows him into side control.


It looks like Joe Foe has been cut.
Glover wants to lay and pray for a moment but Foe keeps working.
Glover really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Foe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Foe manages to get back to half guard.
Foe is trying to get back to full guard.

Foe looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Foe moves into full guard.

Foe has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Glover can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Glover is fighting to break Foe's control of his arms but Foe is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Glover trying to control but Foe is working from the bottom.
Foe manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Foe looking for a guillotine from mount but Glover is having none of it.
Foe looking to finish with strikes here!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Glover is looking to improve his position but Foe isn't that keen on the idea.

Foe working for a submission but Glover is keeping him at bay.
Foe is breathing heavily.
Foe in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Glover is looking to improve his position but Foe isn't that keen on the idea.

Foe is working for a guillotine from mount but Glover frees his head quite easily.

Foe goes for an armbar but Glover turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Glover.
Glover loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Foe looking for a guillotine here but Glover defends easily.
Foe avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Glover trying to control the position from guard on top but Foe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Foe looking for a guillotine here but Glover defends easily.
Glover wants to control from the top but Foe keeps moving.

Foe throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Foe looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Larry Glover dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Joe Foe's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Foe takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Glover pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Glover looks to land a combination but Foe avoids it well.
Glover connects with a looping right hand.
Glover fails to land with a series of punches.

Foe feints and as Glover raises his hands in defense, Foe changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Glover looking for a sweep. Not yet Glover, not yet.
Foe in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Foe drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Glover manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Foe has Glover in his guard.

Foe is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Glover has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Foe is proving hard to escape from.
Foe wants to get back to his feet but Glover is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Glover avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Foe working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Glover doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Glover manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Glover tries to stand but Foe is controlling from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Glover lands with an uppercut that bounces Foe off the cage and back into rage.


Joe Foe's cut is getting worse.
Foe shoots in and drives through. Glover sprawls well.
Glover scores with a one two! Foe had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Glover drops Foe with a left right combo! Glover follows him down to the ground into side control.


Foe is rocked!
Glover cracks Foe with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Glover immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Foe is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Glover!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Larry Glover!
