PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Justin Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matsui Takamatsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Takamatsu is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by in tribute for an amazing artist, R.I.P. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Justin Morgan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Matsui Takamatsu!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Winston Alpacca and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Takamatsu.
Takamatsu shoots in for a takedown but Morgan shows good takedown defense.
Morgan takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Takamatsu has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Takamatsu tries to close the distance and clinch but Morgan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Takamatsu misses with an attempted mid kick.
Takamatsu tries to clinch up.
Takamatsu misses with an attempted mid kick.
Morgan slips a straight right by Takamatsu.
Takamatsu tries to land a front kick but Morgan steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Takamatsu is looking to slow Morgan down with leg kicks.
Morgan avoids a kick to the body.
Takamatsu throws a leg kick but Morgan moved away.
Takamatsu throws the kick towards the body but Morgan avoids it.
A head kick misses from Takamatsu.
Takamatsu tries to close the distance and clinch up but Morgan swats him away and circles back towards the center.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Takamatsu throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Morgan counters with a three punch combo that has Takamatsu backing up. Takamatsu nods at Morgan to acknowledge the strikes.
Morgan moves out of range of the body kick from Takamatsu.
Morgan takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Takamatsu fails in his attempt to clinch.
Takamatsu throws the kick towards the body but Morgan avoids it.
Takamatsu pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Morgan keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Morgan moves out of range of the body kick.
Morgan has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Takamatsu.
Morgan keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Takamatsu throws a head kick that misses.
Takamatsu throws a head kick but Morgan moves out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Takamatsu misses with a right hand

so Morgan counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Morgan scoring with some ground and pound.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Takamatsu not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Morgan wants to control from the top but Takamatsu keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Takamatsu wants to sweep but no luck.
Takamatsu is trying to hold Morgan in close to prevent damage but Morgan has managed to pass into half guard.
Morgan is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Morgan looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Morgan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Takamatsu makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Takamatsu.

Takamatsu is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Morgan rolls with it to try and escape but Takamatsu cranks on the arm and Morgan is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Matsui Takamatsu!
An intense looking Matsui Takamatsu took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'Thank you everyone, Please give it up for *Justin Morgan * . "I dont know what to say so " Again, I thank you" L.F.C. thank you for giving me this chance.'.
