Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marco Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bo Sherk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marco Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bo Sherk!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Eddie Farnsworth and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Miller forces Sherk back against the cage and clinches.

Sherk escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Sherk closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Miller's guard.
Sherk is pushing down on Miller's leg trying to pass to half guard. Miller is fighting to maintain full guard but Sherk has managed to sneak the leg through.
Miller has hold of Sherk's hands but Sherk slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Sherk not doing much here.
It looks like Sherk might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Sherk is stalling here. Miller is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Sherk seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Miller has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sherk can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ground and pound from Miller seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Miller moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Sherk.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
You can see the frustration on Sherk's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Sherk is looking for a sweep.
Miller slows the pace down.

Miller is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sherk knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Sherk tries to strike from the bottom but misses.

Miller lands a decent elbow from side control.
Miller wants to stand but Sherk is controlling his arm.
Sherk is trying to control Miller's posture but Miller avoids it.
Miller connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Sherk some visible discomfort.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Miller wants to stand but Sherk is controlling his arm.
Miller is looking to take a break and control but Sherk is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Miller's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Sherk shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Miller's guard.

Sherk stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Miller swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Miller escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sherk gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Sherk trying to control but Miller is working from the bottom.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Miller is looking to clinch but Sherk is avoiding it.

Miller closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sherk did well to prevent Miller getting side control.
Sherk tries to kick Miller off but Miller keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Sherk is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.
Sherk is desperately trying to improve his position but Miller has a good base and remains in mount.
Miller trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Sherk wants to control but Miller is having none of it.
Miller controlling his opponent.
Sherk is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sherk tries to lock up and control but Miller gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

A close second round but Bo Sherk will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Sherk wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Miller decides to stand up, so the ref orders Sherk to his feet.

Sherk closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Miller's guard.

Sherk trying to control the position from guard on top but Miller is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Sherk distracts Miller with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Miller is trying to keep Sherk in close.
Sherk looking to sit in guard and control but Miller gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bo Sherk comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Sherk winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
