The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A chopping leg kick lands by Filipovic.
We've been told by Filipovic's head coaches at Elite MMA Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Filipovic throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Filipovic throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lagoc Ii darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lagoc Ii lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Filipovic quite badly. Filipovic pulls Lagoc Ii in close trying to recover. Lagoc Ii postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Filipovic on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Filipovic doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
