Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fred Collins!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spat uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Collins.
Spat staying out of range there.
Spat bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Donk. Collins catches Spat right on the button with a cross.


It looks like Jack Spat has been cut.
A nice inside leg kick there by Spat. That's going to slow Collins down.
Spat moves out of range as Collins strikes.
Spat looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Spat looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Spat moves away from the strike by Collins.
A punch combination from Spat misses.
Collins fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Collins is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.

Spat shoots in and gets a takedown into Collins's guard.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

We're going to have a standup here because Jack Spat wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Spat tries to clinch but Collins is having none of it.
Spat bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Spat shoots in for a double leg but Collins sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Collins throws a series of punches but Spat moves out of range.
A nice combination there by Spat.
Spat tries for a takedown but Collins sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Spat is looking to clinch but Collins is avoiding it.

Collins lands a really nice looking cross but Spat seems unphased.
A chopping leg kick lands by Spat.
Spat tries to score a power double leg takedown but Collins sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Spat somewhat.
Spat dives in for a single leg takedown but Collins sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Collins escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fred Collins is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Spat goes for a double leg but Collins avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Collins continues to drive forward.
Spat misses with some punches.
Collins lands a right hand that snaps the head of Spat backwards.

Collins's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Spat slips a jab and a cross from Collins.
Collins lands the left hand.
Spat lands a front kick.
Collins keeps the fight on the outside.
Collins misses with a double jab.
Collins misses with a wild combination.

Spat closes the distance and clinches.
Spat wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Collins has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Spat escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Spat has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Spat scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Spat tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Collins manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Spat fails with an attempt to clinch.
Spat shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Collins pinned against the cage. Collins gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Decent striking displayed by Collins there.
Collins misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Collins drops Spat with a left right combo! Collins follows him down to the ground into side control.


Spat is rocked!
Collins in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Spat looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Collins turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Fred Collins!
Fred Collins decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
