Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Don Juan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dark Violence (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Don Juan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dark Violence!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Juan throws a right hand that misses
and Violence counters with an outside leg kick.
Juan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Violence manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Juan goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Juan just misses with a punch to the body.
Violence goes for a double leg but Juan avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Juan continues to drive forward.
Juan looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Violence has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Juan is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Violence manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Violence can do anything to dispel that myth.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Violence trying to strike off his back.
Violence manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Violence manages to capitalize on a mistake by Juan to take his back!
Juan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Violence on the ground.
Violence keeps control of the position easily here as Juan tries to buck him off.

Violence is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Juan trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Violence controlling the positon.
Let's hope that Violence has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
I really don't envy Juan right now.

Violence has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
What can Juan do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Juan rolls, trying to escape but Violence keeps control of the position.
Juan is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Violence.
Violence's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Juan is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Violence is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Juan is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Violence.

Juan is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Violence is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Violence is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Juan has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Juan is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Juan tries to clinch up but Violence circles away and keeps his distance.
Violence closes this distance looking for a takedown but Juan circles away.
Juan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Violence moves into the clinch.
Juan is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Violence to keep the fight standing.

Violence's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Violence keeps the fight on the outside.
Juan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Violence manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Juan looks to land a body kick but Violence moved away.
Juan misses with the combination.
Violence misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Violence takes the fight into the clinch.

Violence breaks from the clinch.

Juan misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Violence moves into the clinch successfully.
The referee is keeping an eye on Violence - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Violence gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Juan.
Violence lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Juan or not.
Violence tries to pull guard but Juan holds him up against the cage and eventually Violence drops back down to his feet.
Violence is looking for a takedown.
Don Juan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dark Violence.

Violence is pressed up against the cage. Juan has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Violence down to the mat. Violence avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Violence drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Violence is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Juan is defending well.
Juan stalling in the clinch.
Juan pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Juan decides to pull guard.

Violence stands and steps away. Juan gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Violence stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Juan.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Violence prevents Juan from breaking the clinch.
Violence working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.

Violence manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Violence controlling the position.

Juan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Violence has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Juan has managed to get both his arms back between Violence's legs - danger averted.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Dark Violence wasn't active enough on the ground.
Violence takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Juan looks to land a body kick but Violence moved away.
Don Juan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Juan is looking to clinch.
Juan throws a wild body kick that Violence sees coming a mile off.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dark Violence showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Juan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

and Violence counters by clinching up.

Violence pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Juan throws a quick inside leg kick.
Violence shoots in for a double leg but Juan sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Don Juan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Juan misses with a left hand

and Violence counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Violence.
Juan throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Violences head.
Juan is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Juan has had enough of the clinch but Violence keeps him there for the moment.
Violence looking for a takedown.
Violence has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. So far he's outscoring his opponent in the clinch so it seems to have been worthwhile.
Don Juan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dark Violence.

Juan tries to score a body lock takedown but Violence shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Juan jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Violence walks away with a smile on his face. Juan gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Juan leaves Violence with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Juan prevents a body shot from Violence.
Violence has Juan pressed against the cage, preventing Juan from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Violence has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Juan is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Violence displaying some good clinch control by pressing Juan up against the cage.
Violence drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Violence tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Violence is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Juan jumps guard but Violence stands there with Juan around his waist. Juan gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Juan lands an elbow that stopped Violence in his tracks for a moment.
A short body shot lands from Violence as the two fighters clinch.
Violence goes for a takedown attempt but Juan pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Juan swings for the body but Violence moves out of range.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Juan.
Juan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Don Juan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Juan fails in his attempt to clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Juan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Juan tries a low kick but Violence avoids it.
Violence fails with the takedown.
Violence has a takedown stuffed.
Horrible takedown by Violence or perhaps it was just good defense by Juan which made him look bad.
Juan changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Juan fakes the leg kick and cracks Violence in the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Juan scores with a jab. Violence acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Juan looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Don Juan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Dark Violence is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Violence darts in looking for a takedown but Juan gets double underhooks and turns Violence into the cage.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Don Juan.
I think Violence has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
