Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Luca Rinaldi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicklas Porsin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Luca Rinaldi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nicklas Porsin!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Alexandre Firmino and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rinaldi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Porsin as he jumps to the side.
Rinaldi goes for a double leg but Porsin avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Porsin continues to drive forward.
Porsin lands a left hand.
Porsin avoiding damage.
Rinaldi is working for takedown but Porsin is calmly controlling the position for now.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luca Rinaldi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Porsin unloads a knee to the mid-section. Rinaldi lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Porsin jumps into guard, dragging Rinaldi to the mat.

Porsin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rinaldi does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Porsin seems to be looking for submissions.
Porsin tries to stand but can't do so whilst Rinaldi controls his leg.
Rinaldi wants to get back to full guard.
Rinaldi is not content to let Porsin control the position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Porsin tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Rinaldi defends well and Porsin ends up having to push Rinaldi into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Porsin looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Rinaldi has picked Porsin up and slammed him! Porsin can't keep hold of the triangle and Rinaldi manages to pass to side control!

Rinaldi is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Rinaldi gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Rinaldi gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Rinaldi apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Porsin shoots in looking for a takedown but Rinaldi manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Porsin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rinaldi throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Porsin was covering up waiting for the punch and Rinaldi finishes the takedown easily into guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Porsin wants the takedown. Rinaldi is fighting it off but Porsin persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Rinaldi's guard against the cage.
Rinaldi manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Porsin manages to get himself to full guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rinaldi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Porsin throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Rinaldi escapes and throws Porsin's legs to the side, diving into side control!
