Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Giorgio Armuzzi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ralfs Fedosejevs!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Ben Watson and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Armuzzi thumps Fedosejevs with a low kick.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Fedosejevs - that will leave a mark!
Fedosejevs shoots in but Armuzzi avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Fedosejevs shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Armuzzi manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Armuzzi lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Fedosejevs!
Fedosejevs really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Armuzzi goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Fedosejevs is on top in guard.
Fedosejevs drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Armuzzi dives on top into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Armuzzi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fedosejevs swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Armuzzi has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Fedosejevs wants to sweep here but Armuzzi controlling him for the moment.
Fedosejevs is trying to hold Armuzzi in close to prevent damage but Armuzzi has managed to pass into half guard.
Armuzzi is looking to take a break and control but Fedosejevs is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Armuzzi gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Fedosejevs shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Fedosejevs showed some decent athleticism there.
Fedosejevs looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fedosejevs is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Armuzzi defends it well.
Armuzzi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fedosejevs on the ground.
Armuzzi is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Fedosejevs jumps into side control!
Fedosejevs tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fedosejevs wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Armuzzi, who protects the arm well.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fedosejevs is trying to get an arm triangle but Armuzzi is defending well.
Armuzzi tries to bench press Fedosejevs off him but Fedosejevs keeps the position.
Armuzzi can't do much from the bottom here.
Fedosejevs is working Armuzzi over with some ground and pound from side control.
Armuzzi is looking for a sweep.
Check out the look on Fedosejevs's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Fedosejevs has hold of Armuzzi's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Armuzzi seems comfortable defending it but Fedosejevs has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Armuzzi is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Armuzzi is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Fedosejevs couldn't care less - he's delighted!
