Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Juan Pineda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, TikaKiyo Yoshiki!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Kenichi Hosakawa and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yoshiki shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Pineda defends it nicely.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Yoshiki.

Juan Pineda has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of TikaKiyo Yoshiki.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Pineda lands a nice short elbow.

Pineda distracts Yoshiki with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Pineda has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Yoshiki is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Pineda got a little sloppy there for a moment and Yoshiki has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pineda has managed to get both his arms back between Yoshiki's legs - danger averted.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pineda postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Yoshiki pushes a forearm under Pineda's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Pineda is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). TikaKiyo Yoshiki!
A pretty intense looking TikaKiyo Yoshiki took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
