Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcus Short!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Yankee Kilo!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Chris Edwards and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Short avoids the head kick by Kilo.
Short lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kilo circles away quickly and effectively.
Yankee Kilo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kilo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Short was well out of range. Poor timing from Kilo.
Short stuffs the takedown.

Kilo looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Short!
Short might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Short tries to control but Kilo manages to take his back.
Short covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Short could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Kilo softening up his opponent with strikes here.
Short trying to control but not successfully.
Kilo keeps control of the position easily here as Short tries to buck him off.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Kilo looking to break Short's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Short remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Kilo will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Kilo has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Short has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Short trying to control the action but Kilo just sinks the hooks in.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kilo lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.


It looks like Marcus Short has been cut.

Kilo is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kilo has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Short is in real trouble here. Kilo gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Short is tapping out! Kilo wins by rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Yankee Kilo!
