Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Esai Maeda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jonny Jefferson!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maeda shoots in for a takedown but Jefferson shows good takedown defense.
Maeda will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Maeda gets caught flat footed, as Jefferson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Jefferson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Maeda has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jefferson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jefferson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Jefferson drops back looking for a leg! Maeda is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Maeda manages to kick Jefferson off! Jefferson jumps back into Maeda's guard.

Maeda looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Maeda is looking for a triangle but Jefferson pushes his legs off easily.
Jefferson drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Jefferson as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Maeda screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Jefferson! Nice submission victory there!
