The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Eikmeyer looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Del Pedo!

Eikmeyer is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Del Pedo is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Del Pedo is trying to improve his position.

Eikmeyer tries for a kimura but Del Pedo is defending well.
Del Pedo manages to get back to half guard.
Del Pedo avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Eikmeyer.
Eikmeyer moves nicely into side control.

Eikmeyer is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Del Pedo is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Del Pedo manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Del Pedo regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Eikmeyer.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Del Pedo manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Del Pedo has hold of Eikmeyer's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Eikmeyer manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Eikmeyer is wriggling around trying to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Del Pedo fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Del Pedo scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Eikmeyer?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Del Pedo is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Eikmeyer can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Del Pedo has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Eikmeyer's face.
Eikmeyer takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Del Pedo's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
