Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Julio Madrigal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikael Lindgren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Madrigal comes to the cage accompanied by Lil Jon-Throw it Up. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mikael Lindgren!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Madrigal throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Lindgren counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Madrigal!
Madrigal tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lindgren wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Lindgren wants to control but Madrigal is keeping him busy.
Madrigal tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Madrigal is trying to work for a sweep but Lindgren has mounted him!
Lindgren prevents Madrigal from getting the reversal.
Lindgren pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Lindgren is trying to control the action in half guard but Madrigal is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Lindgren cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Madrigal is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lindgren postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Madrigal in real trouble here! The ref calls for Madrigal to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mikael Lindgren!
Mikael Lindgren is the new welterweight champion!
Mikael Lindgren very nearly forgot to thank Conviction amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
Julio Madrigal was interviewed post fight and said 'Props to him, he beat me fair and square this time. I will go back to the gym and get better, I'm going to win my belt back.'.
