PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mordecai Wollsey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Izzy Cumming (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cumming has chosen White America as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cumming throws an overhand right that lands on Wollsey's shoulder, as Wollsey tries to avoid the shot.
A solid body kick from Wollsey.

Cumming gets a double leg takedown into Wollsey's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Cumming throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wollsey works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Wollsey lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Cumming!

Cumming wants to hold on but Wollsey pushes him away.
Cumming is wriggling around trying to escape.

Wollsey postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Cumming looks a forlorn figure.

Cumming tries to hold on but Wollsey postures up.
Cumming can't escape the position.
Cumming holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Wollsey tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Cumming is bucking up trying to escape but Wollsey cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Wollsey lands with some strikes.
Cumming is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Wollsey prevents Cumming from getting the reversal.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wollsey loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Cumming scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Wollsey land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Wollsey stands and salutes the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mordecai Wollsey!
After winning the bout, Mordecai Wollsey thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
