The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leak tries to clinch but Gaskins moves away
letting Gaskins counter with a right hand.
Gaskins leaves Leak with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Leak looks to land a body kick but Gaskins moved away.
Gaskins darts in and clinches Leak up against the cage.
Gaskins tries a body shot but Leak blocks it.
Leak lands a body shot in the clinch.
Leak tries for a takedown. No joy.
Gaskins lands a nice shot to the body.
Gaskins lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Gaskins gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Leak.
Donald Gaskins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kelly Leak.
Leak tries for a takedown but Gaskins manages to get underhooks.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Leak.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Leak wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Gaskins has him pressed against the cage.
Leak tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Leak swings wildly with an uppercut but Gaskins uses good head movement to avoid it.
Gaskins tries to work over Leak's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Leak wants to break the clinch but can't.
Leak tries for a takedown. No joy.
Leak lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Leak is looking to take this one to the mat.
Gaskins throws a punch but it's blocked by Leak.
Leak tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Gaskins avoids it.
Gaskins lands a shoulder strike.
Gaskins pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Gaskins digs a good body shot into Leak's ribs.
Gaskins has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Personal Training in the buildup to the fight.
Gaskins misses with a looping left.
Gaskins moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Gaskins misses with a looping right.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gaskins blocks a jab.
Good work by Leak as he checks the leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gaskins lands a big head kick that sends Leak tumbling to the mat! Gaskins takes a step backwards and waves Leak back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Kelly Leak has been cut.
Leak digs a good body shot into Gaskins's ribs.
Leak fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Leak walks into a left hand.
Leak throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Leak shoots in looking for a takedown. Gaskins tries to sprawl out of it but Leak keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gaskins manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Donald Gaskins is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gaskins misses with an uppercut. Leak saw that one coming.
Leak takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Leak paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Gaskins avoids a kick to the body.
Gaskins scores with a shot to the body.
Gaskins lands with a big left! Leak is wobbled badly! Gaskins comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Leak to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.

A relieved looking Donald Gaskins thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
