Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kaito Suzuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darrell Andrews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Darrell Andrews is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kaito Suzuki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Darrell Andrews!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suzuki connects with a jab.
Andrews fails in his attempt to clinch.

Andrews shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Andrews's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Suzuki connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Andrews scrambles back to his feet.

Andrews is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Suzuki is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Suzuki is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

That was a close round but I would say that Kaito Suzuki will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Andrews fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Suzuki sprawls well initially but Andrews persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Suzuki knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Andrews on the ground.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Andrews has hold of Suzuki's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Suzuki manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Andrews is working to tighten his grip on Suzuki's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Suzuki has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Andrews is really squeezing tight and eventually Suzuki passes out! Andrews breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
