The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez circles away from the clinch attempt.

Apple shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lopez's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Apple working some strikes from top position.
Apple wants to control from the top but Lopez keeps moving.
Apple is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Lopez looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lopez manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Apple is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Lopez locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Apple is forced to tap!
