Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bengtsson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mcneil's guard.
Bengtsson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Bengtsson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bengtsson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Bengtsson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Bengtsson is looking to take a break and control but Mcneil is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Mcneil is letting Bengtsson control him for a moment.
Bengtsson throws an elbow but Mcneil slips to the side and avoids it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mcneil is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Bengtsson asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Mcneil takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
