Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Todd Duffee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Sapp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Bob Sapp enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Todd Duffee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bob Sapp!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sapp scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.


It looks like Todd Duffee has been cut.
Duffee fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Sapp has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Sapp fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Duffee manages to avoid it.
Duffee looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Duffee fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Duffee connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.


It looks like Bob Sapp has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sapp moves to clinch but Duffee breaks away
and Duffee counters with a nice body shot.
Sapp misses with a two punch combination.
Sapp is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Duffee feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Sapp sprawling to the canvas! Sapp rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Duffee finish him?!

Duffee shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Duffee showed some decent athleticism there.
Sapp looks winded!
Duffee wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sapp keeps working.
Duffee looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sapp with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Duffee perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Duffee not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Duffee missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Duffee performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Duffee's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Duffee decides to stand and escape the position.
Duffee shoots in looking for a takedown but Sapp manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Duffee's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Duffee closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Duffee wants to control but Sapp is keeping him busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Duffee prevents Sapp from escaping the position.
Sapp is trying to control Duffee's posture but Duffee avoids it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sapp is not content to let Duffee control the position.
Sapp is looking to reverse the position.
Duffee landing a few strikes.
Duffee cracks Sapp with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Sapp is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Duffee asserts his dominance and retains side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sapp can't do much from the bottom here.
Duffee working the head and body with strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Duffee tries to move into full mount but can't pass Sapp's legs.
Duffee trying to control the action but Sapp is working from the bottom.
Sapp gets back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Duffee working Sapp over with strikes.

Duffee is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Sapp has managed to free his arm - good work.
Sapp gets back to full guard.
Duffee trying to control the position from guard on top but Sapp is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Sapp pushes Duffee off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Sapp misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Todd Duffee dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Back to the action!



Sapp gets a clinch.
Sapp avoiding damage as Duffee throws knees to the body.
Duffee blocks a body shot from Sapp.
Duffee tries to pull guard but Sapp holds him up against the cage and eventually Duffee drops back down to his feet.
Sapp is trying to force a seperation but Duffee has the dominant position.
Sapp tries to stall but Duffee uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Sapp breaks the clinch.
Duffee slaps away a takedown attempt from Sapp, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Duffee throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Duffee keeps the fight on the outside.
Duffee slips under a jab.

Duffee closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Duffee trying to control from half guard but Sapp is working away.
Duffee uses his free foot to push down on Sapp's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Sapp.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Duffee is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Sapp can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Duffee controlling from the full mount.
Sapp is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Duffee looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Oooh a big shot lands for Duffee! Sapp is out! The ref dives in to save him from more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Todd Duffee!
