Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jenkins Jr defends it nicely.
Jenkins Jr connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Jenkins Jr creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Brooks wants to free his trapped foot but Jenkins Jr is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Brooks is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Jenkins Jr reverses the position - he's now on top in Brooks's guard.
Brooks looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jenkins Jr is one step ahead there.

Jenkins Jr is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Jenkins Jr is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Jenkins Jr lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
We've been hearing good reports from Jenkins Jr's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Jeremy Jenkins Jr decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
