Batista comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Monster - Kendrick Lamar kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Jerome Batista is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batista lands with a good body shot.

Cooley tries to circle away but Batista has him pinned against the cage.
Batista lands an uppercut.

Cooley controlling the action here for a moment.
Batista scores with a shoulder strike.
Cooley takes an elbow to the temple.
It looks like Jamie Cooley has been cut.
Batista stalling in the clinch but Cooley improves position.
Cooley is trying to break the clinch but Batista is controlling him.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Cooley tries to pull guard but Batista forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Batista lands an elbow just above Cooley 's eye.
A nice left hand lands by Batista.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

With the fighters up against the cage, Batista throws an elbow but misses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Cooley is trying to maintain a safe position but Batista gets an underhook and turns Cooley into the cage.
Batista lands a shoulder strike.
Cooley is rocked!
Batista lands a big right hand that drops Cooley! The killer instinct kicks in and Batista finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Batista!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jerome Batista!
Jerome Batista spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
