Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clinton Duran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Cuevas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Clinton Duran!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Fred Cuevas!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cuevas feints and then cracks Duran's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Duran down.
Duran with a poor takedown
and Cuevas counters with a leg kick.
Duran misses with a body kick.
Good leg kick by Cuevas there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Duran fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Cuevas lands with a thumping leg kick.
Cuevas tries to bum rush Duran with a series of wild strikes but Duran uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Cuevas swinging wildly here.
Cuevas lands a head kick!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Duran is looking to clinch but Cuevas is avoiding it.
Cuevas throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Duran tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Cuevas is in Duran's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Cuevas is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Cuevas throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Duran works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cuevas accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Duran is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Cuevas missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Cuevas postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Cuevas wants to stand but Duran is controlling his posture from full guard.
Duran is trying to control the position but Cuevas postures up.
Duran is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cuevas throwing strikes from guard but Duran blocks nicely.
Cuevas in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Cuevas postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Cuevas keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Duran's head.
Duran is rocked!
Cuevas gets to his feet and stands over Duran, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Duran felt that one! Cuevas unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Duran from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Fred Cuevas!
