Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Bishop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anahi Yoshida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jason Bishop has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Bishop !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anahi Yoshida!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bishop looks for a takedown but Yoshida sprawls well.

Bishop could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Yoshida is looking to chop away at Bishop 's legs.

Bishop shoots in looking for a takedown. Yoshida tries to sprawl out of it but Bishop keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Yoshida manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Yoshida is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bishop is controlling him.

Yoshida manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Yoshida shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bishop as he avoids it easily.

Yoshida thuds his right hand into Bishop 's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Anahi Yoshida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Yoshida throws a right hand that Bishop ducks under and follows up with a left that Bishop also avoids with ease.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

and Bishop counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Yoshida's guard now.

Bishop postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Yoshida is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bishop , into his guard.

Bishop is looking for a triangle but Yoshida pushes his legs off easily.
Yoshida controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
I looks like Yoshida might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Yoshida is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Let's hope that Yoshida has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Despite being in the dominant position, Anahi Yoshida just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bishop tries to reverse the position but Yoshida maintains control.

Anahi Yoshida showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Yoshida would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Bishop is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Anahi Yoshida comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Yoshida has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
