Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tkyka lands a jab-cross combination.
It looks like Carl Rose has been cut.
Rose tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tkyka sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rose somewhat.
Rose shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Tkyka defends it nicely.
Tkyka throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rose stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Tkyka thuds his shin into the meat of Rose's side.
Rose tries for a takedown but Tkyka sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carl Rose. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Tkyka lands a head kick!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tkyka bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Tkyka scores with a kick to the body.
Tkyka connects with a leg kick. Rose looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Tkyka fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Rose looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Yuri Tkyka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tkyka lands a high kick!
Rose shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Tkyka lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Tkyka throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Tkyka scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rose tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Tkyka defends well and Rose ends up having to push Tkyka into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Rose tries for a takedown but Tkyka manages to get underhooks.
Tkyka gets underhooks to prevent Rose's takedown attempt.
Still in the clinch, Tkyka scores with a nice short uppercut.

Tkyka lands a body shot in the clinch.
Rose goes for a takedown attempt but Tkyka pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Tkyka pushes Rose away with a front kick.
Rose is breathing heavily.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Tkyka.
Tkyka connects with a solid leg kick.
Tkyka dips to his left and cracks Rose with an uppercut!
Tkyka scores with a shot to the body.
Tkyka lands a nice leg kick that just misses Rose's sensitive parts.

Tkyka looks to land a combination. Rose sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Tkyka digs a good body shot into Rose's ribs.
Tkyka dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Rose. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Tkyka scores with a one two! Rose had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Tkyka throws a combination. Rose tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Tkyka lands with a good body shot.
Tkyka works Rose's body with a nice hook.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A combination from Tkyka does no damage.
Tkyka is working the combinations to good effect here.
Whack! Tkyka lands a heavy head kick that drops Rose. The ref tackles Tkyka to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Rose was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Yuri Tkyka!
During a confident post fight interview, Yuri Tkyka thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
