The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Crosby.
Volkanov tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Volkanov gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Volkanov wants to improve his position but Crosby is controlling well.
Volkanov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Crosby is working away from the top position though.
Volkanov moves into full guard.
Volkanov working for a triangle but Crosby defends it easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Volkanov looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Volkanov will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Crosby is trying to stand up here but Volkanov is controlling him well.

Crosby wants to hold on but Volkanov pushes him away.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Volkanov is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Crosby has managed to escape the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Volkanov's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Volkanov misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Crosby shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
so Volkanov counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Crosby wants to sweep here but Volkanov controlling him for the moment.
Volkanov drops back looking for a leg! Crosby is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Crosby manages to kick Volkanov off! Volkanov jumps back into Crosby's guard.
Volkanov stands up over Crosby, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Volkanov is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Crosby defends it well.
Volkanov decides to stand up.

Volkanov looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Volkanov wants to control but Crosby is keeping him busy.

Volkanov has hold of Crosby's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Crosby seems comfortable defending it but Volkanov has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Crosby is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Crosby is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Volkanov couldn't care less - he's delighted!
