The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shuden circles away from the clinch attempt.
Shuden misses with a takedown
and Diaz counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Shuden doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Diaz counters with a slapping leg kick.
Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch but Shuden swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Shuden gets the takedown into side control.

Shuden is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Diaz knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Diaz is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Diaz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shuden on the ground.

Diaz scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Shuden manages to mount him!

Shuden has an Americana. Diaz didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Shuden is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Shuden hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
