The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bones throws the left hand but Perkins avoids the punch easily.
Bones with a poor takedown
and Perkins counters with a straight right hand.
Bones displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Perkins throws out the jab.
Sponge Bones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Perkins lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Bones backs up against the cage.
Bones takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Bones could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Bones throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Perkins sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Perkins misses with a looping right.
Perkins misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bones.
Perkins is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Perkins jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Perkins looks to score with a jab to the body but Bones is just out of range.
Perkins uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Perkins cracks Bones with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Bones tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Perkins pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Bones is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

After winning the bout, Steven Perkins thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
