Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Julius Caesar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Flores (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Caesar comes into the arena with Et tu, Brute? blaring out of the sound system. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Julius Caesar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Junior Flores!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flores throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Flores misses with a body shot.
Flores looks to throw the jab but Caesar is out of range.
Caesar uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Flores.
Caesar looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Caesar blocks a jab.
Flores misses with a looping left.
Flores steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Caesar.
Flores moves out of range of the body kick.
Flores misses with a head kick.
A nice leg kick lands there from Caesar.

Flores is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Caesar's half guard.
Caesar tries to roll over but Flores keeps him under control.

Caesar is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Flores's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Flores's back!

Caesar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Flores is trapped and Caesar is scoring with shots to the head and body.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Caesar lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Flores is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Caesar gets his way!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Caesar has the hooks in. Flores is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Flores is looking to work some ground and pound but Caesar has wrist control.

Caesar is adopting a defensive guard.
Caesar keeping moving, preventing Flores from controlling successfully.
Caesar manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Flores manages to get himself to full guard.

Caesar is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Caesar wants to pass the guard but Flores is keeping the position.

Flores is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Caesar defends well.

Caesar got a little sloppy there for a moment and Flores has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Caesar has managed to get both his arms back between Flores's legs - danger averted.
Flores has momentary wrist control but Caesar slips an elbow through the middle.
Caesar postures up in Flores's guard and throws a big left but Flores blocks it.
Caesar is looking to work some ground and pound but Flores has wrist control.

Caesar with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Caesar accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Flores is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Caesar stands up over Flores, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Caesar slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Caesar tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Caesar tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Caesar has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Julius Caesar dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Flores misses with a looping right.
Caesar has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Flores throws a lazy head kick
and Caesar counters with an outside leg kick.
Flores throws a right and a left that Caesar avoids nicely.
Junior Flores is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Caesar makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Caesar with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Caesar dips to his left and cracks Flores with an uppercut!

Flores is breathing heavily.
Flores misses the shot to the body.

Caesar connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Flores to the floor! Caesar dives in looking for the finish!

It looks like Junior Flores has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Caesar thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Flores is still in real trouble! Can Caesar finish him?
Caesar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Flores keeps working.
Flores seems to have recovered his senses.
Caesar lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Caesar not landing any meaningful shots this time.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Caesar is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Flores can do to turn this around?

BOOM! Caesar connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Caesar lands a nice shot to the head.

Caesar has control of Flores's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Flores regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Caesar postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! Flores is out cold - huge knockout for Caesar!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Julius Caesar!
Julius Caesar took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'Et tu, Brute?'.
