Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Paul Hewson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lulla Palluza!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hewson scores with a body shot.
Palluza throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Palluza jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Palluza looks to throw the jab but Hewson is out of range.
Hewson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Palluzas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Hewson throws a right and a left that Palluza avoids nicely.
Hewson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Palluza ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hewson moves away.
Palluza listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hewson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Palluza avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Lulla Palluza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Palluza takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Hewson tries to bum rush Palluza with a series of wild strikes but Palluza uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hewson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Palluza.
Hewson fails to land with a series of punches.
Hewson cracks a nice hook into Palluza's ribs.
Palluza lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Palluza misses with a lunging right hand
and Hewson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Palluza cracks Hewson with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Hewson tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Palluza pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Hewson is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lulla Palluza!
During a confident post fight interview, Lulla Palluza thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
