The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oquendo steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Archer.
Jab, jab by Archer - just one landing.
Oquendo throws a head kick that misses.
Archer scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Archer connects with a beautiful left hand that drops Oquendo onto his butt! Oquendo bounces straight back up though - he's OK. After the ref checks him out, we're back to the action.

Oquendo glances at the clock... BAM! Archer nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Oquendo crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Oquendo is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

Robert Archer decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
