The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Albert fails in his attempt to clinch.

Akio drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Albert wants to stand and escape but Akio is having none of it.

Akio is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Akio thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Akio stops Albert from standing up.
Akio sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Albert's guard.

Akio maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Albert could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Akio has cracked it and Albert is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Akio!
