With a record of 10 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Bobby Tate!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tate displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Street throws out the jab.

Tate closes the distance and clinches.
Street goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Street's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Tate.
Tate is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Street pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Tate has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Street is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Tate tries for a takedown but Street manages to get underhooks.
Michael Street has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bobby Tate.
Tate wants to take the fight to the mat but Street manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Street tries a knee to the head but Tate blocks it.
Street is working for takedown but Tate is calmly controlling the position for now.
Street avoiding damage.
Street throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Tates head.

Street lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Street lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Tate is looking to take this one to the mat.

Street softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Street tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Tate tries to score a body lock takedown but Street shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

It looks like Bobby Tate has been cut.
Tate is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Street gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Street using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Tate has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Street lands with a light punch inside.
Street tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Street has been working on his balance at Bruize Brothers, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Tate.

Street has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Tate regains guard immediately.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tate is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Street is controlling him.
Street working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Tate working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Street doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Street manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Street stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tate swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Street throwing strikes but missing.
Street is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Tate has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Street can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Street landing some decent shots from guard.

Street avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Tate looks winded!
Street is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Street trying to control but Tate is working from the bottom.
Tate keeping full guard, as Street tries to pass.
Tate working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Street.
Street connects with a couple of short punches.
Street sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Tate's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tate is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Street scores with a couple of nice shots.
Street works his way into full mount!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The referee warns Tate that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Street postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! Tate is out cold - huge knockout for Street!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Michael Street!
Michael Street decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
