PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Conduit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jericho Cane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Cane's choice of entrance music: Mustache: Double Nature. Jericho Cane looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conduit lands a head kick that stumbles Cane and the fighters go to the mat.
Conduit wanted to stand there but Cane had control of the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Conduit preventing the sweep.
Cane bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Conduit's guard.
Conduit is looking to stand up but Cane isn't so interested in that idea.
Conduit trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Conduit uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Cane misses with a takedown attempt - Conduit sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Cane shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Cane goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Conduit is on top in guard.

Cane escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Conduit gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Cane has his foot on Conduit's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Conduit works his way back into a safe position though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Cane avoids the head kick by Conduit.

Cane feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Cane shoots in and drives through. Conduit sprawls well.

Jericho Cane showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Conduit's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

No joy there for Conduit, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
