Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Volkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pat Barry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alexander Volkov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pat Barry!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Eliza Hachem and Topper Green.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barry throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Volkov counters with a three punch combo that has Barry backing up. Barry nods at Volkov to acknowledge the strikes.
Volkov throws a right and a left that Barry avoids nicely.
Barry throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Barry looks to land a combination but Volkov avoids it well.
Volkov stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Barry dodges the punch combination from Volkov.
Barry throws a right hand that Volkov ducks under and follows up with a left that Volkov also avoids with ease.
Barry lands a right hook to the body.
Barry thows a left - swing and a miss!
Volkov checks a leg kick.
Barry works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Barry tries a head kick but it misses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Barry pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Volkov lands a two punch combo.
Barry throws a front kick that sends Volkov stumbling back into the cage.
Volkov is breathing heavily.
Volkov gets cracked there but stands up to it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Volkov!
Barry tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Barry listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Barry misses with a double jab.
Barry misses with a hook
and Volkov counters with a left and a right that stings Barry.
Barry misses with a head kick.
Barry lands a nice looking body kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A punch combination from Barry misses.
Volkov uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Barry.
Barry catches Volkov napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Volkov to the canvas!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Volkov wants to stand but Barry is controlling the position.
Barry drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Barry jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Volkov will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Barry trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Volkov wants to stand up but Barry is controlling him.
Volkov is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Volkov pushes Barry off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Barry scores with a kick to the body.
Barry misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Volkov tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Barry throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Barry throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Volkov stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Whack! Barry lands a heavy head kick that drops Volkov. The ref tackles Barry to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Volkov was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Pat Barry!
