Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack The Ripper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blake Axe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Axe has chosen For Whom the Bell Tolls as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 28 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack The Ripper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Blake Axe!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Winston Howard and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Axe.
The Ripper fails to land the takedown.
The Ripper's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and The Ripper duly obliges.
The Ripper cracks Axe with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Axe paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Axe scores with a nice strike.
The Ripper throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
The Ripper lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Axe circles away quickly and effectively.
The Ripper misses with a double jab
and The Ripper takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

The Ripper uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Axe.
The Ripper throws a combination that misses
and Axe connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A combination from The Ripper does no damage.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Axe, as that shot connected.
The Ripper misses with a takedown attempt - Axe sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
The Ripper will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The Ripper looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Axe is fending him off so far but The Ripper persists. Nope, Axe circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack The Ripper. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The Ripper misses with a double jab.
The Ripper dives in for a single leg takedown but Axe sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
The Ripper has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Axe is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Axe will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning The Ripper up against the cage.

The Ripper has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Axe after a bit of a struggle.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Axe is pushing The Ripper up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Blake Axe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for The Ripper. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Blake Axe comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Axe has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
