The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holloway tries to clinch up but Silveira circles away and keeps his distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Holloway looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Silveira connects with a body shot.

Holloway slips a jab from Silveira.
Silveira throws a jab but it's blocked by Holloway.
Holloway tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Silveira paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Holloway just misses with a elbow thrown towards Silveira's brow.
Oh Silveira is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Clinched against the cage, Holloway lands a big elbow that drops Silveira! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Silveira is complaining that he's OK but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Max Holloway!
Max Holloway spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
