Batista comes to the cage accompanied by wrecking ball. Cruz has chosen British National Anthem as his entrance music. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cruz shoots in for a double leg but Batista sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Cruz on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Batista lands with a nice body kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Batista misses with a wild combination.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Cruz has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Batista lands a left and a right that send Cruz crashing to the mat, dazed. Batista thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Cruz is rocked!

It looks like Victor Cruz has been cut.
Batista throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Cruz crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
