Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Thunder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Average Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Average Joe has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joe misses the shot to the body.
Thunder tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Joe defends well and Thunder ends up having to push Joe into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Thunder goes for a takedown in the clinch but Joe prevents it.

Joe pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Joe displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Thunder.

Joe throws an overhand right that lands on Thunder's shoulder, as Thunder tries to avoid the shot.
Thunder definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Thunder shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Joe's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Joe escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Thunder gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Thunder drops back looking for a leg! Joe is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Joe manages to kick Thunder off! Thunder jumps back into Joe's guard.

Joe wants to control from the top but Thunder keeps moving.

Joe takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Joe lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
