The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pasha fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Nunes has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Elite Dojo [21 Coaches / 58 cap] in the buildup to the fight.
Pasha avoids the head kick by Nunes.
Pasha lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Nunes at a distance.
Nunes steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Pasha.
Nunes looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Pasha bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Nunes's head backwards.

Nunes throws a right hand that Pasha ducks under and follows up with a left that Pasha also avoids with ease.
Nunes shoots in but no luck this time.

Pasha walks into a jab.
Pasha scores with a jab.
Pasha feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Nuness jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Pasha swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pasha is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nunes.
Pasha looks to land a right hand but Nunes moved out of range.

Nunes is trying to drag Pasha to the mat but Pasha just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Diego Nunes. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nunes wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Pasha creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ali Pasha hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
