Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Delphino Atlantis!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Hirohito Nitta and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Camacho throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Camacho closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Nice body punch from Camacho.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Atlantis has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Atlantis looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Camacho.
Camacho throws a punch but it's blocked by Atlantis.

Atlantis gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Camacho regains guard.
Atlantis wants to pass the guard but Camacho is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Camacho wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Atlantis is just content to waste time from the top position. Camacho takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

You can see the frustration on Camacho's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Atlantis thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Camacho pushes Atlantis away with a front kick.
Camacho pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Camacho connects with the punch.
Camacho lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Camacho plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Camacho throws a leg kick but Atlantis sees it coming and checks it nicely.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Atlantis misses with a takedown attempt
and Camacho counters with a leg kick.
Camacho connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Hector Camacho seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That kick from Camacho tenderised Atlantis's leg. Atlantis is trying to keep his angry face on.
Atlantis is breathing heavily.
Camacho lands with a thumping leg kick.
Camacho fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Atlantis has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
A decent looking body kick lands there for Camacho.
Camacho throws a head kick but Atlantis moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hector Camacho dominated that second round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Atlantis chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Camacho can pounce on him.
Atlantis tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Atlantis blocks a low kick nicely.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Camacho, as that shot connected.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Camacho.

Camacho's Muay Thai looks sharper than normal. He has obviously been working on it in the gym.

Atlantis's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Camacho tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Atlantis is able to avoid easily.

Atlantis takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
A nice leg kick lands there from Camacho.
Hector Camacho is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Camacho wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Hector Camacho is winning the standup battle so far.

Camacho cracks Atlantis with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Atlantis looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Camacho finish him?


Atlantis is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Atlantis gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Hector Camacho!

In his post fight interview, Hector Camacho gave a big smile as he said 'I am a fucking beast 3 days notice and I still kick ass. Like to thank my camp, Taco, Steel all the boys at the Brotherhood gym. I'm comin for that title, you better believe it. '.
