The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West is looking to chop away at Gummidge's legs.
Gummidge missing with a left hand there. West was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
West connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Gummidge moves into the clinch successfully.
West using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Gummidge has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

It looks like Easton West has been cut.
We've been informed that West has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gummidge tries to work over West's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
West is leaning against Gummidge and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
West lands a good knee to the midsection. Gummidge won't want to take too many of those.

West steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gummidge.
West's corner calls for a 1-2. West obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Gummidge's hands are dropping dangerously low here and West connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Gummidge scrambles back to his feet.

Gummidge is rocked!
Look low, kick high! West uses the oldest trick in the book to send Gummidge tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! West is absolutely delighted - when Gummidge wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
