Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Kay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hachirou Kenji (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kay's entrance music is ENTER SADMAN. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kevin Kay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hachirou Kenji!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Sosuke Kotani and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kenji misses with an uppercut.
Kay ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kenji moves away.
Kay scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
It looks like Hachirou Kenji has been cut.
Kay shoots in but Kenji avoids the takedown attempt easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kay looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kenji throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kay on the side of the head.
Hachirou Kenji seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kay ducks under a wild hook from Kenji.
Kay has been working on his balance at Ultimate MMA Training Center - Evil Evolution, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Kenji.
Kay fails with a takedown attempt.
Kay tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kenji paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kay shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kenji's guard.
Kay trying to control but Kenji is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kenji has momentary wrist control but Kay slips an elbow through the middle.
Kay drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kay jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Kenji preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Kenji wants to hit a switch here but Kay passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Kenji there!
Kenji is looking to get to half guard.
Kenji is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Kay looking to control but Kenji is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Kenji really wants to buck Kay off and get back to his feet.
Kenji avoids a series of strikes thrown by Kay.
Kenji has given up his back here.
Kenji is really stuck here.

Kenji grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
Kenji is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kenji trying to control the position but Kay manages to sink in the hooks.

Kenji is in bad spot here.
Kay is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Kenji has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kay is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Kenji up.
Kenji wants to get back to his feet.

Kay controlling well, preventing Kenji from escaping the position.
Kenji is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Kay lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Kenji hold on?!
Kenji tries to escape but he's let his defenses down in doing so and Kay has slipped in the rear naked choke! Oh, that's tiiiiiiiiight! Kenji is tapping! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
